Happy Friday all! As Style Me Pretty’s Social Media Manager, I live and breathe hashtags every single day – but what do I love more than any ol’ #mrmrssmith" An adorable, punny wedding #hashtag. But not just any word combo will do; you want your hashtag to be as memorable as your dress and as easy to remember as the rings. Here’s my tips for how to get just that!
1. Be unique. Search any hashtags you’re considering on Instagram and Twitter to make sure no one else has used them yet. If you?re going to be scouting it for days to come, you?ll want to make sure it?s one in a million.
2. Show personality.
Do you and your hubby-to-be have an inside joke" What about a pun-worthy last name" Make your hashtag special with something you and your sweetie will smile about.
3. Be technical.
Instagram and Twitter hashtags do not support special characters like !, @, $, %, ^, &, *, and +. However, they do support numbers and _.
4. Don?t make it too long.
You want your guests to actually use your hashtag, not have to look it up or make spelling mistakes. Try to make it 15 characters or less!
