We love the La Purisima Mission for its colors, textures, and rich architecture and were inspired to shoot a love story with this iconic California Mission as the backdrop. The gallery, with its great pillars, the various rooms and nooks, the gardens. and the nearby rolling hills all provided a dreamy landscape for our vision of a romantic wedding day.
Working with married models Sophie and Isaac was a dream. Not only are they beautiful inside and out, but they also absolutely adore each other – their affection and intimacy shine! The couple ?loves love? and even renewed their vows before the shoot. Sophie wore a gorgeous wedding dress from Aire Barcelona and paired it with a beloved heirloom pearl necklace from her mom, and natural makeup. To fit the historical feel of the Mission, we used details to communicate a feeling of freshness, but still relate to the timeless look of this location. To do this, we designed a tabletop that was elegant, classic and clean; from the dishes and the whimsical bouquets, to the unique wedding cake design. All of the elements came together to create a sense of richness and beauty!
