Heya, hive! Sorry for the temporary absence, but life has definitely been exciting and busy one month post-wedding. Mr. Eel and I have been enjoying our first month as newlyweds, and even though we have been living together for the past two years, our new married life still feels different to me.
Part of the busyness and absence has been due to a short trip I took to Las Vegas…without Mr. Eel! Yes, less than one month into marriage, I left Mr. Eel to go on a trip to Las Vegas with my family. Let’s rewind a few months to how this all started…
Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas
Back in May, some of my family members decided to take a trip to Las Vegas (one of our favorite vacation destinations)Â to celebrate my parents’ 4oth wedding anniversary. I talked to Mr. Eel about us joining them on the trip, but unfortunately since he had started his new job at the beginning of the year he didn’t have additional vacation time since he would already be taking time off for the wedding and our honeymoon. Mr. Eel, being the awesome sea creature that he is, encouraged me to go without him. He reasoned that this was a great opportunity for me to spend time with my family on vacation, and just because he couldn’t go didn’t mean I shouldn’t go either.
