It can be fun (and tasty!) to create a signature cocktail for your wedding reception. Guests love the special touch and it can be great opportunity to let your personalities shine as a couple. We asked the Weddingbee community to share their chosen signature wedding drinks, and here are our staff picks!
1. Sweet and Tart
Ours is a Key Lime Martini. Not only is this a wonderful tasting drink, but add to that that the rim of the glass is dipped in crushed sugar graham crackers?YUMMO!!
We both love the combination of tart and sweet, so this drink was perfection for us!
In keeping with our taste preferences, we opted out of the traditional wedding cake to have a plated desert of a combination traditional cannoli (my fiancé is full blooded Italian!) paired with lemon cheese cake topped with fresh berries. 2. A Clever Combination
The cocktails we chose at our wedding were all favorites:
Sidecar (brandy, triple sec, lemon juice)
Gimlet (lime cordial and gin)
Caesar (gin or vodka, Clamato juice, Worcestershire sauce, and tobacco sauce with a celery salt rim)
This let us add a couple of drinks using the same ingredients: Tom Collins (club soda, gin, simple syrup and lemon) and French 75 (champagne, gin, simple syrup and lemon).
3. Cute Kitty
We named our cocktail after our cat, Jimmer. We called it the Jimmer Tonic. It was a spin on a gin and tonic with a splash of cranberry juice. The bartender garnished each drink with a straw that had a cut out of the cat on it.
