After a long night shift at the hospital, medical student Colby met up with fellow medical student and fianc̩ Nathalie at Lake Michigan for a mesmerizing sunrise engagement shoot. As you can imagine, pursuing medical careers keeps the couple busy. With their often conflicting schedules, planning a sunrise shoot in this case required Colby sacrificing some sleep. But how magical to spend the early morning hours with the one you love as the sun?s golden rays stretch across Lake Michigan to Lake Shore Drive, and briefly color the sleeping city orange, pink and yellow! This time of day is reserved for the few that wake up with the sun Рthe ones that love the quiet before the city is fully awake. This meant that the couple could peacefully enjoy their time together creating these beautiful images to treasure for years to come. Photography Kyle John Photography
