With delicate flowers tucked into her soft blonde hair, Emily said “I do” to Mark in a traditional church ceremony in Portugal. Pedro Vilela so beautifully captured the couple’s quiet excitement as they met at the altar and prepared to exchange vows in front of their loving community. The celebration continued at Penha Longa, where Portugal Wedding Planners created a romantic scene of fairy lights and pink ambiance.

Seeing Mark and the whole ceremony, I was so nervous to walk down the aisle but as soon as the doors opened I felt totally relaxed. When I saw him standing at the altar I was ridiculously happy.

My dress was by Emma Hunt and was beautiful. I was lucky enough to be able to customise the dress specifically for me. I knew I wanted lace and I wanted something fitted but that was also soft and flowing. My favourite thing about it was the scalloped edging round the neck and the train. I also had a floor length veil, it was amazing! I had flowers and braids in my hair to keep with the romantic look.
We wanted a really intimate wedding with a romantic and informal vibe. The venue is was built in the 13th century and the building is pink so that informed a lot of style choices! We kept everything soft and romantic with a lot of candles, fairy lights and flowers and had pink lighting inside.
