Tales of a Four-Eyed Bride

I wear glasses. I am a nearsighted-with-astigmatism, four-eyed bride. I also have a really hard time wearing contacts. Confession: I also don’t feel like myself when I wear my glasses since I only started wearing glasses every day within the last couple of years. For our engagement photos I went semi-blind without my glasses because I thought my glasses would ruin the photos. Funnily enough, I LOVE Mr. Eel’s glasses. I even told him I hope he always wears glasses and never wears contacts. He let me know I can rest assured as he has a phobia about touching his eyes—he doesn’t even like to watch people touch their eyes or put in/take out contacts.

Ever the charmer, Mr. Eel always tells me that he likes the way I look with and without glasses. I just wish I could see myself the same way and am still working on that. On a day-to-day basis I don’t mind wearing my glasses and don’t mind how they look.
For our wedding however, I would like to be glasses free. I think part of it is because I am so used to not we...
