Hello everyone, and Happy New Year!
It?s 2018, and so I can finally say it ? I?M GETTING MARRIED THIS YEAR!! Ian and I took a well-needed planning rest over Christmas, and spent two lovely weeks of down time with family. It?s amazing how refreshed we felt coming back to the spreadsheets and notebooks this week! It?s also amazing how much of a kick up the bum the words ?we have a wedding to plan this year? will give you! And we?ve really got back into the swing of things quickly.

I met up with our gorgeous florist Rachael of Sweet Peony Penarth last week ? I am blown away by Rachael?s down to earth vibe, and I just know she has my brief bang on! I?ve also been sourcing table linens, props and décor, accessories and Ian has even started looking at suits (not a moment too soon!). This weekend I head off with my gorgeous Maid of Honour Stacey for a browse at some bridesmaid dresses, and we also have some coming from online stores ? more on that in a later post. On Wednesday we have the final menu tasting with our caterers, and heading into February I get to spend the day planning at the venue with all my creative ladies (marquee, flowers, styling, venue management!). We?ve just started writing up the wording for our invitations and putting together a wedding ?wed-site.? If that wasn?t enough, my gals are in the process of arranging my hen, and I?ve set up a new business this month too!
For me, 2018 is the year of joy ? and so ...
