2 days. 3 towns. 4 appointments. Endless dresses.Â
You heard me correctly. I went and tried on a wonderful amount of dresses in the space of two days.
From day one I have always wanted a short dress. I’m in a field for the majority of my day, and the castle requires me to get up some spiralling stairs, so I’ve spent a long time researching styles, dresses, designers and most importantly, shops local to me. Being in Essex, I have quick access to London so heading there isn’t a problem and I’d whittled it down to four places.
First stop: Candy Anthony.
Set upon London’s Embankment, within the OXO Tower Wharf, this cute boutique makes vintage-style dresses made to measure. Greeted by Rachel, we chatted through what I envisioned (and what a clear vision I had), the style of the wedding day, and revealed those all important Ted Baker shoes (please see my last blog post for those beauties!) Rachel disappeared to grab dresses; out came layers and layers for me to put on and this was pretty much how the appointment went. The Candy Anthony style is great as layers can be added and added and added with a final overlay to give the lace or spotty look as desired and accessories including belts and veils seem to give the best final ...
