The Bride Diaries. Louise’s DIY Wedding Invitations & Cake Plans

Mmmm cake. I mean who doesn’t love a good old wedge of sponge and lashings of butter cream" It’s important I think to chose a cake that not only looks ultra pretty but that is truly scrumptious. I love that WWW real bride Louise and Ed started with the flavour first. They also sent out their gorgeous DIY invitations last month, I’m sure you’ll agree they worked out so perfectly xo Lou
Last month saw us tick off the last remaining ?big stuff? ahead of the wedding. From now on in we?ll focus on the little touches that will tie everything together. I have to say I am quite relieved that we have sorted the major suppliers now as it?ll give us the time we need to make the wedding our own.
First on our list was to get our invitations out. Stationery was something I knew that we could save a bit of money on as I was able to rely on my brother to produce some really special designs. We wanted the invitations to be suitably woodland-y and wintery and I really think my brother achieved just that! We used printed.com who were super-efficient and allowed us to select the paper and envelopes to match. We have received such lovely feedback from our guests about the invites and it was so exciting to feel that we were at that stage of the planning process! We added a few finishing touches to keep all the bits together and to give a little nod the colours that we are thinking of using on the day ? the stickers and tags were from Etsy and the gros grai...
