Hello everyone.
Quite contrary to my last post, I hope you are all enjoying the other side to the British summer?namely the really wet, damp and stormy side! I?m afraid to admit that I have been a little lackadaisical on the wedding planning this month, for various reasons, and the main one being that I had the absolute pleasure of witnessing my brother marry his bride in the magical Finnish countryside. After a wonderful day, with the weather holding out, Nick and I were sat round the fire pit in the early hours of the morning reflecting on the day, when we felt an overwhelming sense of pride and love for the newly weds and furthermore, had an epiphany on the ethos of wedding planning. I thought that in the absence of physical planning, I would share my thought process as to why I think they had the most perfect day imaginable and how it has changed my underlying thoughts on our own day and aided my hypothetical planning going forward. Plus a few little design tips I may have nabbed along the way!  

 
As a short backstory, my brother and his Finnish wife made the decision a few years ago to move themselves and their young daughter back to Finland.
