The Bride Diaries. Sophie’s Heartbreaking Loss in the Family
Sophie and Jamie are going through real heartbreak at the moment. Tragically Jamie has lost his dad. There really are no words, but I am sure you will join me in sending love and deepest condolences to them both. Remembering loved ones on your wedding day is a lovely gesture and Sophie would like to hear your ideas today. I have seen special framed family photographs, candles, songs, readings, meaningful objects or favourite blooms chosen to mark a loved one. What ever you chose Sophie and Jamie, I am certain it will be fitting xo Lou
This is a really difficult post I have to write this time. Jamie’s dad has died suddenly and unexpectedly. He was 55. We are all completely devastated.
We are only a few weeks away from Jamie’s stag which his dad was going on – he was the life and soul of the party and I’m sure had lots planned for his son. The stag is still going ahead, as he’d have wanted, and I’m sure the boys will toast Alan’s memory and make him proud. And obviously he will be incredibly sorely missed on our wedding day. I loved Alan – he and I had a great friendship from the off – and I’m very sad I won’t have the privilege of being his daughter-in-law.
We will of course remember him in the small ways we can on the day and he will very much be a part of the wedding, as will Jamie’s mum, Kate, who sadly died when Jamie was just 14.
Any thoughts on how brides have remembered love...
