Wedding Registry Tips for Cohabitating Couples
Mr. Eel and I have been living together for a little over two years now, so we’ve amassed quite a bit of household items. We also started living together when we were, ahem, a bit “older” so we were able to invest in some good quality household items as opposed to carryovers from college dorm rooms. Because of this, we had no plans to register and went about our merry way.
With two months until wedding day, my aunty has graciously offered to host a bridal shower, and my wonderful friends and family have been asking my mom if I am registered anywhere and upon receiving a “no” response, what do I want/need" My mom, in turn, asked me these same questions, so I thought long and hard about what Mr. Eel and I could possibly need. Our Keurig recently broke, so I responded that a new Keurig would be nice. My mom has been telling people I would like a new Keurig and while five Keurigs would be wonderful, Mr. Eel does not drink coffee and would probably be happy with just one. And that is how we ended up at Bed Bath & Beyond on a Thursday night to start a registry at the nth hour. After a few discussions, we decided that in the event that friends or family would like to get us a gift, it would be easier to have a registry with the types of household items we want.
