Out of all the places we go to visit, The Gallivant has remained one of my favourites. It’s not one of the most luxurious places, you won’t find a spa here and it’s technically a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel as such. But what you do find is the most beautiful beach in all of England {Camber Sands} right across the road. You can walk for miles in the sand dunes or go down splashing in the surf. The whole inspiration for The Gallivant comes from that rustic, Californian beachy vibe with a cosy open fire thrown in for good {English weather} measure. It regularly gets voted one of the top seaside hotels in the UK and it’s easy to see why. The plush new rooms take it to the next level with super king sized beds and a rolltop bath. They’ve been cleverly designed with sliding doors if you’re feeling romantic and want to bath in the bedroom or slide the doors across for a bit of privacy. There are separate walk in power showers, Nespresso machines, well stocked pantries and mini bars, mood lighting, bluetooth sound systems and plush velvet interiors.
