The Great Dollar Dance Debate

Part of the reason I love Weddingbee so much is to see how weddings are done in other areas of the world/country. It’s super interesting to me to see what makes up a “traditional” wedding in different places. The basics of a wedding mean such different things to people all around the world, and I love having a spot to look at recaps and reviews and just see what people did to celebrate their union with the one they love.
Since we were both raised in different places and are getting married in a third place, we do have some different ideas of what happens in a “traditional” wedding. Most of the ceremony stuff is pretty common stuff in a traditional North American wedding, and we’re not deviating from the norm much. We are planning on doing our own personal vows, but also do the “I, Miss Dove, take you, Mr. Dove…” vows too. We’re gonna do some sort of unity ceremony; we’re currently discussing doing a wine box ceremony or just love letters or a candle. We’re going pretty standard for the ceremony, because thankfully we both have similar ideas of what we want to do at it. The reception, though, is a different story.
There are currently three things we’re debating including in our reception. Most of them are fun and relaxed, but one of us makes us hesitate to include it in our reception.
The first comes from the “traditional” garter toss and bouquet toss. The biggest issue with this one...
