As we continue our winter and Christmas wedding theme this week, I have the most gorgeous snow filled winter wonderland styled shoot to share with you today. The shoot took place in January of this year at Nunnlea Historic Home, Louisville in Kentucky. It was the brain child of Hannah and Ashley from The Olive Branch Photography, who drew inspiration from the children’s classic ‘The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe.’ Bringing in big fur coats, lots of snow, rich warm tones and beautiful blooms, this shoot is everything a winter wedding needs to be. Warm, cosy, romantic and full of style.
Fun + Romantic. Our models are married in real life and aren?t afraid to show their affection for one another which we can?t get enough of .. also they?re just cool as hell.

My inspiration was The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, one of my favourite childhood books. I had this idea of snow covered ground and our bride in a big fur coat. I bought 25lbs of fake snow just in case. Fortunately the one day is snowed this year was the day of the shoot and it would not have been the same without it.
I wanted to connect with other local vendors and bring my vision of a magical, darker-toned, winter wedding to life. Words can?t express how happy I am with the way everything came together. Everyone went above and beyond and created a setting even more magical than I had envisioned.
