Episode 1: The One Where We Kick Off Our Wedding Weekend
I woke up early on the morning of our wedding, and much to my delight and surprise it was a gorgeous and sunny day. Perhaps because Oahu was all rained out from the prior days, there was no rain left to be had on our wedding day. Either way, it was a good sign for the day ahead.

Mr. Eel had already started getting breakfast ready, so I jumped in and helped him with our final tag-team task as an unmarried couple. We weren’t really concerned with traditions like not seeing each other before the ceremony, and seeing him that morning helped to ease my nerves. Everyone else was still waking up, so while we cooked breakfast together we shared an excited “We’re getting married today!”
After breakfast the girls and I got ready to leave for the newly built bridal cottage at Kualoa Ranch Moli’i Gardens. Setup for our reception had already begun when we arrived, and I could slowly start to see my vision becoming reality. The tent was up, tables and Chiavari chairs were starting to arrive, chandeliers and lighting were being hung…it was a surreal moment.
