Yes! The ceremony was done and we were officially husband and wife. It was time to “get this party started on a Saturday night” a la Pink. But before we could officially start the celebration and mingle with our guests, we needed to take a few extended-family photos. We had two helpers that ushered our family members along when it was their time to take a photo with us. This helped move things along quickly, and in about 15 minutes we were officially done with posed photos for the day!

Unfortunately, I have no photos of our passed appetizers during cocktail hour, but our guests were served pork belly bao, ahi poke on toasted rice cake, and seared scallops with a ponzu caviar. I was busy mingling with guests, but some of my close friends made sure to keep me fed. I found out later that Mr. Eel was able to eat seven scallops!

While some guests mingled, others took the opportunity to sign our guestbook frame.

Our waiters hand-passed appetizers, beer, and prosecco (my favorite) with pink sugared rims. We also had a bar off to the side for guests to order drinks from the bartender on their own.
