Everyone was finally ready, so we proceeded to the location for our first look. It was a typical first look—Mr. Eel with his back to me while I did the infamous “shoulder tap.”

We kissed, we talked a little about our respective mornings, and it was over.

No joke, bees, our first look lasted all of two minutes. Honestly, it was a little awkward having our entire wedding party, photographers, videographer, and wedding coordinator standing around us watching us share our first look.

If I could do it again, I would’ve done our “actual first look” in private with just Mr. Eel and me, and then done a “staged first look” for our photographers and videographer to capture. Mr. Eel and I are generally not into PDA and we like to keep our intimate moments, to put it best…intimate. After our photographer captured some candid and posed photos of our first look, our wedding party jumped in for group and individual photos.

Mr. Eel has been buddies with his groomsmen since kindergarten, so they’re a pretty tight bunch.
