I am so glad that wedding websites are a thing now! What a fun place to showcase information about your day in a creative way. Luckily, one of Benjamin?s many talents is dealing with technology. Sometimes I wonder if he should have been a graphic designer; he has a good eye and is skilled in putting together really professional digital content, so it made sense that the bulk of wedding-website building would fall to him.
I just loved Mrs. Narwhal‘s branding idea, so we decided we would shamelessly plagiarize use the slogan/hashtag ?Becoming the Sixpences.? Benjamin has a relatively unique last name, so there were no conflicts on Instagram. We titled our website likewise.
Ben used Weebly to create the site and purchased the domain name www.becomingthesixpences.com to make it easier to remember (and cuter, obvs). After looking at a few wedding websites we admired, we decided on five main categories for the front page. As you can see, we included a welcome to visitors, a section devoted to the bride and groom (which would include our bios and a short summary of our engagement story, as well as a little photo gallery), and a ?contact us? area with a digital guestbook and a song request form (highly recommended—this has been hilarious so far).
