For our Sangeet, we wanted to do vibrant and fun tropical colors that welcomed our guests to Miami to kick off our wedding weekend. The venue lended to a very tropical, Miami vibe, being at TThe Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, a laid back restaurant with a more formal ballroom on top that had sweeping views of the water and the downtown Miami skyline. The colors included bright oranges, mustard yellows, teals, pinks and more. The idea was to include some colors that would tie-in to our wedding day, but go on a brighter and more vibrant scale for our Welcome event, the Sangeet. The Colors: For our wedding, we went with an emerald green and gold thematic with lush florals throughout that brought a moody element to it. The florals hinged off the colors from Friday?s sangeet, but were a darker shade to bring a more moody vibe to the evening. We had stunning ombre florals wrapped around the Mandap for the ceremony in shades of purple, pink and red which complimented the stunning backdrop of palm trees and the ocean. [/field]
