A Perfect Meet-Cute
For San Francisco meteorologist, Drew Tuma, and his (now) husband, Joey, it all started in 2016 at a favorite dive bar in The Castro. Joey said, “When we first locked eyes, I approached Drew, and we have been inseparable since!” Joey dreamt up the perfect proposal with the help of Erin at Pins and Petals to have large letters displayed on Kite Hill in San Francisco that read: “Marry Me Drew"” He says, “I brought Drew out to our balcony and got down on one knee. Afterwards, I arranged to have about 30 friends meet us at Kite Hill for a champagne toast.”
A Meaningful Location
This couple didn?t let canceled Valentine’s Day reservations rain on their parade. Instead, Drew and Joey decided to celebrate at McDonald’s – and now they go “high-fashion” for a McDonald?s Valentine?s Day dinner every year! It was something so simple, yet it became so sentimental to the couple that they decided to take their engagement photos at McDonald?s.
