Sara donned a seriously eye-catching traditional Pakistani wedding dress that she had custom made by Nomi Ansari and Brian honored his Irish heritage in a kilt. We love that the couple personalized their ceremony by having a dear friend officiate – not to mention their ceremony spot couldn’t have been more gorgeous! I always knew that I wanted to wear a traditional Pakistani wedding dress. Pakistani weddings are a beautiful, colorful, and extremely joyful occasion and that was something I wanted to bring that rich cultural background to my own wedding. I got my dress custom made in Pakistan and was inspired by this gorgeous engagement picture of my grandmother in a navy, shimmering traditional dress. In another nod to my grandmother, I wore a pearl necklace that she had bequeathed to me and asked that I wear on my wedding day.
