This Ontario Wedding Gave the Goldie Mill Ruins a Romantic Revival

A lot of love and a sequin Truvelle gown was all it took to make the Goldie Mill ruins sparkle on Moya and Jeff’s wedding day. We love the way the minimal wedding decor complemented the stark slate surroundings with only a simple DIY ceremony arch and the loveliest blush and ivory bouquet by Blooms & Flora. Despite the pared down design elements, Moya and Jeff’s wedding was chock full of personality: the groom is a bluegrass musician, and his band performed for Moya and guests in front of a backdrop of string lights! Fortunately, talented photographer Daring Wanderer was there to capture every magical moment!

Blooms & Flora did an amazing job at incorporating local in-season wildflowers into my stunning bouquet.
We chose to get married at Goldie Mill ruins, which was the perfect combination of rustic and natural and conveniently located a short walk from our home. I got ready at home and walked over to the venue for our first look surrounded by hundreds of year old stone walls.
The best moment was entering the ruins during the ceremony and seeing all of the people we loved in one space and having them all their to witness us commit to spending the rest of our lives together.
