Nick and Brooke met when they were both freshman at the University of Arizona and lived in the same dorm oftentimes (conveniently) ended up in the laundry room together. Even though they didn’t begin dating then, they had mutual friends who kept trying to plant the seed that they should. One New Year’s Eve, Nick drove from Michigan to Chicago (where Brooke was) and the rest, as they say, was history! A weekend getaway at the lake
Nick and Brooke’s goal for the wedding was a “weekend getaway on the lake” that was relaxing and all-inclusive. They wanted it to be a breath of fresh air where guests could enjoy a truly peaceful weekend away.
Lakeside wedding party style
The couple wanted the wedding party to complement the environment of the venue in a timeless and upscale way that reflected the blue lake and beautiful surrounding greenery. The bridesmaids wore dusty blue Azazie dresses with soft, natural glam by LJ Artistry and Reborn Hair Company, and carried bouquets full of soft green, soft pinks, and creams. The groomsmen wore navy blue suits with black lapels and bowties from Men’s Wearhouse.
