A sequined tea-length bridal gown" Check. Wedding day tattoos" Check. Reception at the coolest music venue in Belfast" Check. Emma and Sam’s special day had all the makings of the most unique rock and roll wedding we’ve seen! Since music is very important to the couple, they chose two of their favorite live music venues for their ceremony and reception. After an emotional ceremony, the wedding party took a trip to a local tattoo parlor so the couple could get commemorative tattoos. Once Emma and Sam were inked up, Ten21 Photography captured the wedding party at Belfast’s Botanic Gardens for portraits then joined back up with the guests at The Belfast Empire for an incredibly rock and roll reception.

Our venue was an old church converted into a music hall. We have been to loads of gigs there and have loads of good memories for it. Plus, we went there a couple of years ago for Sam‘s birthday, which was the first night he told me he loved me.

We got tattoos after the church, before the reception, which was a surprise to some family members! We both love tattoos and decided there is no better day to get one than on our wedding day!

We wanted a really laid back day that reflected what we love doing in real life. We didn’t want people to feel uncomfortable and we didn’t want to feel uncomfortable ourselves.
