Courtney and Kevin’s Kansas City wedding may have been timeless and traditional, but it definitely didn’t skimp on style. The black tie affair designed by Belle Journee incorporated a chic shade of cranberry as a bold pop of color against the ivory, blush and gold palette used throughout the day. Catherine Rhodes Photography brilliantly captured these impeccable details, as well as the sweet moments Courtney and Kevin shared as they became husband and wife.

Our favorite moment from the wedding was the ceremony! It was held in my childhood church where I attended grade school and both my sisters had previously gotten married. Our priest is a family friend of Kevin‘s, so it was really exciting to be able to have him preside over our wedding. We are both Catholic and chose to do a full mass. We chose each song and reading together and everything turned out beautiful. Finally getting to say “I do” while being surrounded by all of our loved ones, was such a special moment that we will forever remember!
Catherine Rhodes, our photographer, was absolutely amazing! Not only did she make us feel completely comfortable from the beginning, but she helped de-stress me the morning of the wedding and kept everything flowing and on schedule. She is so creative and fun, but professional at the same time.
