Today I Screwed Up: Feather Edition

One of my slightly less wonderful qualities is my need to get things right the first time. It?s obnoxious and annoying, especially for Mr. Feather, who has to put up with my teeth gnashing and hair pulling over silly problems. Ugh. Sorry, Mr. F.
However, wedding planning has been great for teaching me not to sweat the small stuff. I?ve already changed my mind about our ceremony venue, spent two weeks on a task I thought would take me two days, and learned that dresses can take six months or more to make.
Despite all of this learning?guess what" I?m still making mistakes. Most recently, I learned the difference between white and ivory the hard way.

I was measured for my dress at Cicada Bridal this past Sunday and decided to bring in the belt I?d bought on Etsy to see how it worked. Good news: The crystal coverage (Is that even a thing" Crystal coverage" Waist-to-crystal ratio") is perfect.
Bad news: I ordered white ribbon. My dress is ivory.
More bad news: The Etsy shop is in Canada (Vancouver). I?m in Seattle.
The shop graciously offered to exchange my belt for one with an ivory ribbon, but it?ll take two weeks to get back to Canada and two weeks for the new belt to get here. Fortunately, I have time to wait, and the new belt should arrive before my first fitting.
