I went back and forth about whether or not I wanted a veil as part of my wedding look. I knew I didn’t like the lace-edged one I tried on with my dress (see below), but I also knew I really like the look of a veil.
And there was actually a veil I was obsessed with, had my dress been more of the simpler sheath I initially envisioned. But like the lace-edged one, I knew it wouldn’t quite work with my dress. Plus, at almost 400 bucks, it was way more expensive than what I was looking for.

So with a heavy heart (not really, it’s just a veil), I walked away from the double-horseshoe drop veil…but not from the silhouette.
After all, a drop veil is a classic for a reason—I just had to find the right veil for my very elaborate beaded and lace dress.
That’s my dress, and the lace-edged veil I didn’t like.
So what did I want"
I knew I wanted a drop veil.
I knew I wanted to keep it pretty simple, with either no embellishment or just a tiny bit (something like pearls that matched the straps on my dress).
I knew I wanted it to be between hip and knee length.
I knew I wanted the comb sewed in (to make my life easier).
I knew I didn’t want to spend more than 100 bucks.
