We wanted to create something different for this shoot. The styling portion took departure in a monochrome color palette. We were hoping to speak to the women who are looking for lifestyle, wedding or vow-renewal inspiration that doesn?t revolve around the traditional beautiful long gown look and dramatic outdoor scenery. Instead we aimed for a look that was a bit more edgy, but still conveyed a mature elegance, and shot in a studio environment, thus simplifying the narrative by subtracting any distractions from the design. By focusing on minimalistic design and combining this with silky fabrics and heavier knits like wool and cashmere, we sought to portray a confident woman, exuding class and sophistication. A woman who knows and loves who she is. It?s always exciting to see how a styled photoshoot comes together. Often we don?t meet the model in person until the day of the shoot, and although flowers, hair and makeup, and clothes have thoughtfully been planned in advance by a team of talented individuals, you never know how they will all compliment each other until you see it together on set.
