I can pretty much pinpoint the exact moment when I knew I wanted to add a veil to my wedding-day look. After a weirdly unemotional series of wedding-dress appointments, the first time I tried on a veil, I suddenly felt like a bride. It was this crazy rush of emotions—I?m getting married, holy shit, I?m an adult (maybe")—that was scary and weird and wonderful all at the same time.

I had been on the fence about having a veil, but after that moment I was sold.
At first, I thought I was going to be able to borrow MOH R?s veil. She offered back in April, and I happily accepted because I?d love to share something so personal with her. However (there?s always a ?however? in these stories?), I was absentmindedly looking at one of her wedding photos while washing the dishes one night (our fridge is only magnetized on the side, so that?s where all the photos go) when I realized her wedding dress was blush. After a little bit of back and forth to confirm, we figured out that her veil wasn?t going to work with my dress.
