Venue Hunting: Changing our Minds

I?m not the type of person who changes her mind easily. Neither is Mr. Feather—once we?re set on something, that?s it. End of story.
We signed the contract and put down our deposit about a week after touring Stimson-Green. I didn?t want to look anywhere else. That was our space, and I was in love with the convenience of having the ceremony and reception in the same location.
Except?
Doubts about the mansion as a ceremony space began to creep into my mind as we began to look at our options for photography. Stimson-Green has an odd mix of natural and artificial light from various sources (sconces, chandeliers, and more), creating a difficult job for even the most skilled photographer.
I started to worry that even with the best photographer and lighting equipment, the effect that we wanted would be impossible. Photographers can?t magically create more natural light from nothing. And what I really wanted in our ceremony photos was a lot of natural light. Next, I tried to address my biggest fear about an outdoor ceremony: crummy weather. Keep in mind, we moved to the city in November and our one visit to Seattle in the summer was rained out. Plus, the sky has been crying pretty much every day since we got here (record amount of rainfall in December, if I?m remembering correctly), so I didn?t put much stock in the people telling me that the city is beautiful in the summer.
The good news" Seattle is nice in the summer. Temperatures in the mid-70s and little to no chanc...
