Wedding Stress: Indoor vs. Outdoor Wedding

I hate to say it, but when most people ask me how wedding planning is going the first thing I say is that it’s stressful. On a few occasions I’m also embarrassed to admit that it hasn’t been very much fun. I know in the end it will all be worth it, and I still get really excited when I think about all the moving pieces finally coming together on the day of our wedding. I can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends at an awesome party. I keep comparing it to when I was working full time and concurrently going to school part time for my MBA—the hard work will be worth it in the end.

I was beginning to feel guilty about having these negative thoughts about wedding planning, especially when friends would comment on how much fun they were having planning their own upcoming nuptials. I started thinking about what exactly was giving me stress, and it boiled down to the fact that we are having an outdoor wedding.
You see, indoor brides/grooms that are having a wedding at a hotel or other indoor all-inclusive space don’t have to worry about sourcing the same things outdoor couples have to source. Just to clarify, when I refer to outdoor wedding I mean a venue like ours that provides the event space only. Just land, nothing else.
