It was a jammed packed half term last week. Our two boys (8 and 3 – growing up so fast I know!) were off from school and pre school for the week and G (my husband) had a couple of days off. So I was determined to change my hours slightly so we could fit in some fun activities. We had a trip to our local pottery painting studio for a touch of craftiness, my mug didn’t quite come out as the Emma Bridgewater style masterpiece I hoped for, but it still looked cute! I thought it would be fun to have an early evening bowling trip, which the boys really enjoyed and it’s on our to do list for another outing in the not so distant future. Then there was a long muddy walk complete with balance bike and scooter, which totally wore them both out. Next was a trip to our local country house and their snowdrop walk, with a fun trail activity to complete. Finally a roast at my parents, yum! It can’t end any better than that now can it" I think they really enjoyed their downtime and until Easter now it’s heads down into our usual routine.

The house renovations have begun again with G having some spare time to finish the wall paper stripping and begin painting! Ekk.
