One month to Christmas folks! Can you believe it" This year really has been a weird one with time hasn’t it" Time seems to have slowed, yet whizzed by all at the same time. Does anyone else also feel like pre-COVID was about 5 years ago" G and I keep catching ourselves trying to work out when past events were, you know that concert or random TV show, only to realise it was at the beginning of the year and not two years ago.
Anyway, I do hope you are keeping well despite everything. I have to say I have found life tough at times, but also enlightening at other moments. Living a slower pace, not having a calender full of kids clubs, gatherings and excursions (although I of course miss them) has made me appreciate pottering around the house and garden more. I am trying my best to keep hopeful and positive and the positive vaccine results offer a ray of light for sure. I have started to get my online Christmas shopping done and am determined to give my little boys all the wonderful festive memories they deserve this year. Even if it means not seeing all our loved ones in person or visiting Father Christmas, not having their school Christmas plays or fairs, not watching the light switch on or going to church on Christmas Eve. But what we will do is make the most of what we can do and treasure it so much more when we are able to do these lovely things again.
