So it’s my birthday tomorrow and G is treating me to a day out in Cambridge. It’s only half an hour away but we never go, mainly due to small children not enjoying shopping trips/leisurely meandering. So it will be a lovely lazy day with lunch I hope, in between school runs of course. I can’t believe how this year has flown, it’s been such a busy 12 months too, but as ever we always have some kind of project on the go. We just got W’s room’s new radiator fitted, finished up cycling his new/old furniture and have finally chosen the carpet. It felt like 50 shades of grey with the numerous samples scattered in my office this week I can tell you. As they say time flies when you’re having fun. I mean how is it almost May already" With the bank holiday weekend approaching, I am excited that G is off work. A whole 3 days together as a family – a rarity these days. We are planning on having friends over to see our home for the first time too – I know I know, we’ve been here 6 months already and have only just got round to it. Hopefully the evening will be a success and we can fit some fun trips out or start working on A’s room. Not sure which one we’ll go for, I guess we shall see how the weather pans out.
