This story doesn?t end in tragedy because I tried on my dress last weekend AND IT ZIPS. LIKE, ALL THE WAY. WITHOUT FEELING LIKE I AM A LIVING SAUSAGE!! If you are considering a dress that is a little too small, PLEASE contemplate your mental sanity, because I won?t pretend it wasn?t stressful. Before you slap down that credit card, make sure to have extensive conversations with a seamstress about what plan B is if you don?t lose the weight. In my case, the lovely ladies at Kleinfeld assured me they could make it a corset back if needed, so there was no chance I?d be completely out a dress. Even with the high alterations costs I would still have been under budget, but it?s important to be mindful of the potential extra cost.
