Gatsby glam gets a modern makeover in this chic Ottawa wedding at the historic Château Laurier. Nancy and Chris’ vision for their day was to combine the Gatsby style with a woodland vibe. They turned on the romance with a primarily gold, black, and ivory palette, accented with jewel-toned wildflowers galore. The bride looked flawless in a classic lace gown by Rita Vinieris, effortless waves, and vintage Dannijo chandelier earrings that would have made Daisy Buchanan stop in her tracks! Staying true to the grandeur of Gatsby style, Nancy and Chris made a memorable entrance into their reception by riding a motor scooter straight onto the dance floor. Our wedding vibe was Gatsby meets the modern day, with bright wildflowers and anything gold.

I was stuck on this quote, “You keep me safe…I’ll keep you wild,” which my wedding planner magically turned into the incredible backdrop for our stage.

Our favors were gold animal magnets that were used to hold up each place card on the tables. We are off to Africa in February to climb Kilimanjaro, and go on Safari, so it was a perfect way to tie it in.
