Chic summer wedding with a nod to Palestinian culture
Darius and Ayah?s romantic Hidden Grove wedding is so special, not only because of the way they combined their families? cultures and traditions, but because the bride is an artist and created so many details herself! Owner of Fig & Olive Designs, she was behind all of the handmade signage, anchoring the chic design Events by Kristina Elyse helped bring to life. A peek at the bride’s handmade signage! Each guest found a wooden pizza paddle menu at their seat that outlined the evening’s offerings.
They kicked the celebration off with a zaffeh?a parade/wedding march performed by musicians typically playing drums, bagpipes and horns. Friends and family then surrounded them on the dance floor!
Kristina explains, The bride placed a high importance on sharing her Palestinian culture through the symbol of the olive branch. This small yet significant detail was found embroidered on her custom dress, found on the invitations, and used in their personalized wax stamps and signage. The boutonnieres and bouquets included small olives to tie into the theme. And their venue even aligned with this vision as the driveway leading up to the property is eloquently lined in olive trees.
