Dance in the Desert at this Palm Springs Wedding
The bride and groom at this desert-inspired wedding are both from the desert themselves – the groom grew up in La Quinta, and the bride grew up in Yucca Valley. They met at a friend’s wedding in 2014 and have been together ever since. After a year to dating, the couple moved to Austin, Texas, and were engaged in April of 2020. Even though they had built a life in Austin, they chose Palm Springs for the aesthetics and logistics. Keep scrolling to see all of the stunning photos from their day in Palm Springs at Colony 29, featuring photos by Meaghan Brianne Photo, flowers by Shindig Chic, and reception vibes by Dart Collective. The Ceremony and Venue
The bride had always envisioned a ceremony that would honor the natural beauty of the area – the mountains, the colors, and the stars. The couple fell in love in the desert and are incredibly lucky to still call it home, so she wanted to ensure that the essence of the desert was celebrated just as much as they were. Colony 29 was perfect for that! Leading up to the ceremony, the bride felt mostly calm and present in the moment. She was surrounded by love and support from family, her bridesmaids, and her coworker friends who did their hair and makeup. Everyone was relaxed and excited, which made the day feel so easy.
