Our bride and groom planned to be surrounded by their friends and fam in a big celebration at home in South Africa for their wedding, but like so many of our couples, they had to change course. So in just three months and with the help of IDO Events, these two planned a romantic elopement in Tuscany at Villa Montanare. Not a bad plan B, if you ask us! Find more photos by The Saums, below…

While they still plan on gathering with loved ones when it’s safe to do so, they wanted their elopement to be private and focus on just the two of them, so they chose a venue tucked away in the Tuscan hills.

The bride and groom were surrounded by freshly picked plants as a ritual. Each herb represented a different wish and quality for the marriage. They had oregano for joy and sage for wisdom.
From the team… Unfortunately, sometimes it?s those special moments that get lost in big weddings. We got the opportunity to experience the hours leading up to the wedding with the couple and the team even more intimately. Being present for getting ready and even had a few minutes to toast with the whole team. Something like that usually rarely happens for us as planners. The most memorable moment for us was leading the bride from her room to the steps where she would then walk to the groom.
