After Elissa and Brent got engaged, they had every intention of eloping. The idea of planning a large affair stressed Elissa out to no end. Lucky for us, they caved and had a dreamy rustic wedding at Meadows at Mossy Creek! The couple–with the help of their expert planner Katharine Marie Weddings–planned a day that was the perfect mashup of vintage and modern, bold and neutral, and indoors and outdoors. 
With personalized touches like handwritten notes, manhattans before the ceremony, and a choreographed first dance to “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing” to represent their love for Christmas, Elissa and Brent poured so much love into every detail. Exchanging Wedding Day Gifts
During our first look, we exchanged letters with one another and made manhattans. In my family, my grandfather and father would make a manhattan for big celebrations and holidays and it’s always been one of my favorite cocktails. So before we tucked away for our ceremony, we mixed up a couple of manhattans and toasted one another before our guests arrived. It was a special way to start the festivities and honor all those who couldn’t be with us on that day....
