Whimsical ballet and ribbon inspired wedding ideas for spring
We’ve seen a few romantic ballet-inspired weddings in our day (this vineyard inspiration and a certain French editorial come to mind) but today’s whimsical design + photos by Lauryn Kay Photography zero in on one particularly sweet aspect: the ribbon. From the hanging ribbon at the altar to the cake’s detail and hairstyle, it’s all soft, airy, and reminiscent of spring:
Ribbon is a material native to ballet, most visible in the pointe shoes dancers wear that are so iconic to the art. This material is used and interpreted throughout the shoot, from florals by Heirbloom Floral to hand-dyed fabric by England-based Nettle Textiles used to style different detail shots.
